A Night at Field of Light

Feel the inspiring magnitude of the vast night sky, the overwhelming presence of the majestic rock. As darkness falls and Uluru is thrown into silhouette, Field of Light illuminates. As far as the eye can see rhythms of color light up the desert. World renowned artist, Bruce Munro has chosen the remote desert location surrounding Ayers Rock Resort for his 2016/2017 Field of Light installation. Field of Light is a monumental and experimental artwork which will see 50,000 slender stems crowned with radiant frosted-glass spheres, connected via illuminated optical fiber bloom as darkness falls over the spiritual heartland of Australia's vast desert with Uluru as the backdrop. During "A Night at Field of Light", guests can experience Field of Light from the dune top as well as a self-guided walk. At the start of the evening, drinks and canapés are offered on the dune top, and a gourmet buffet dinner is served on site.
